I live in the Metro Detroit area and we are certainly blessed with some damn fine thrift stores. It's going to take me a few posts to list them all, along with all their pros/cons. I will try not to bore you to tears. 1. Value World - located on Central City Parkway in Westland (across from Westland Mall). Pros - HUGE selection of big name brands. Value World has probably the cheapest prices around. PLUS they send out 50% off your entire purchase coupons and other coupon goodies if you go online and subscribe to the newsletter. Make sure to check the white board at the front of the store for the current day's sale. Cons - No dressing rooms to try on, so you take a chance when you purchase. Plan on wearing a tank top under your shirt. At least this way you can try on shirts/jackets.
